Steve Moller...on Dobro

We had a new person play with us over the weekend... He's a new & upcoming dobro player His name is Steve Moller.  He's young (only 23) and he is really great on the Dobro.  I hear he plays a fine guitar too.... I am sure he has a bright future ahead of him!
Glad to have him set in when Dave can't make it.

Winding up the 2009 season

We have finished our shows up for the year unless we pick up some late fall & winter shows.  We try not to do to much in the winter.  The travel is just too unpredictable.
Last weekend was crazy.
We played the Blennerhassett Island candle light on Friday night.  It was great fun.  We boarded a sternwheeler that took us over to the island.  It was like going back in time.  everyone dressed in period clothes.  It was raining cats & dogs...  Muddy & sloppy everywhere.  The weather soon cleared and it proved to be a nice evening.  The sound of Bluegrass ringing in the night air was fabulous!  I hope we get booked again next year.

Then on Saturday we played the Toys for Tots benefit... that was nice.  we met some really nice people...cliff & Annette and Jason & Jo They were so nice! and the owners of the trading post were really nice too & they had good food.  The sound man was good too...can't forget him.

Then on Sunday we went home to Ross County and played the Colerain Church Homecoming.  It was great to see some old friends and family & enjoy playing  that great Bluegrass Gospel.  Tommy was really wound up and thankful.

It was a great way to wind up the season.... Thanks for your support

Big Scare...Special Thanks

Hey folks.
I just want to let you all know Neil is doing fine.... We had a big scare on the way to the Ridgetop Music Festival at the Vinton County Airport. They took him by squad to Adena Hospital in Chillicothe. We thought he was having a heart attack. He had a stress test and passed that with flying colors... Then they did a scope of his stomach and he had some ulcers and some acid reflex damage...I guess he's working too hard. They were really nice at Adena. He spent the night and we didn't get much sleep but you know how hospitals are.... We were relieved to know it wasn't his heart...

Tommy, Mike, Dave, & Mark Lewis carried on...I heard they did great....Hopefully they will have us back next year and Neil will be able to sing Grandpa's picture & some of the other requests but give the guys a big attaboy for stepping up to the plate. A special thanks to Almost There for the prayers...it makes all the difference.... Special thanks to Mark Lewis for taking on the bass duties so Mike cold play guitar.... Thanks to Wayne Grooms & Wayne Hensley for the great sound.
